The Council on Alcohol and Drugs is seeking a FT Project Coordinator for Banks, Habersham, and Franklin counties.
The Project Coordinator position plays a vital role in the Georgia Department of Behavioral Health & Developmental Disabilities’ Partners in Prevention Project (PIPP) in Region 1. The communities that will be served are Banks, Habersham, and Franklin counties. The Project Coordinator will be responsible for carrying out program development, research, communications, coalition building, and fundraising. This job is designed for individuals interested in pursuing a career in non-profit management, social services, and/or substance use prevention.
Bachelor’s Degree required. Educational background and experience working with youth and community development. Must be highly self-motivated, as well as be able to work independently. Must be highly organized with excellent attention to detail and follow-through while managing multiple tasks. Flexibility and the ability to make public presentations and appearances are also required. Must be tech-savvy with at least intermediate computer skills using Word, Excel, Outlook, etc. Some relevant experience with nonprofit organizations or substance abuse prevention is preferred but not required. Requirements include the ability to facilitate group work with middle and high school youth and adults; working via computer, telephone, and other electronic devices; driving frequently to meetings and events; light lifting of equipment and materials; occasional night or weekend work, occasional long days and occasional overnight travel.
The Project Coordinator will work remotely but will travel frequently to Banks, Habersham, and Franklin Counties. The ideal candidate will reside in one of the three counties or in a neighboring county.
The Project Coordinator position is full-time and has a salary range of $35,000 to $42,000 depending on education and experience. The Council provides the following benefits (Medical, Dental, Flexible Spending Account (FSA), Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, 401 (k), etc.).
